Swag Bucks and Inbox Dollars

Today I want to write about Swag Bucks and Inbox Dollars. Swag Bucks is a program where you can win virtual dollars to buy actual goods in a variety of ways. I explained this in detail a while back on this post. Inbox Dollars is similar, except they send you actual money once you rack up $30.00 worth, minus some fee if I understand correctly. With Swag Bucks you earn money mainly by using their search engine, which I suppose collects data on everywhere you go online. With Inbox Dollars you earn money by reading emails they send to your email address (mere seconds, but are they worth two cents each?), and reputedly by completing surveys. I use the word "reputedly", because I have completed three or four of the less obtrusive surveys they partner with, but have yet to receive any credited earnings from any of them.

To date I have "made" 495 Swag Bucks, and $6.82 from Inbox Dollars. I need 21,480 Swag Bucks to buy an XBOX 360 in USED CONDITION. I should be over the ten dollar mark at Inbox Dollars, but they have no real way to contact them nor complain, so I doubt I will ever see any money from them. The Swag Bucks seem to be racking up painfully slowly...but I am determined to keep them both for at least a full month on this fact finding mission. We shall see if things improve, or if both of these endeavors have been a waste of time. Of the two, I mind Swag Bucks the least...simply because I don't do much else besides use their toolbar instead of Google's toolbar.

  3. You picked a huge goal to reach with your Swagbucks! Amazon $5 gift cards are 450 SB's, and you can use more than one card at the Amazon check-out. My daughter has "earned" (I use that term loosely!) enough Swagbucks for over $50 in Amazon cards and $20 in Paypal money in just a few weeks. She is saving them up for an MP3 player and charger. The key is to get other people to sign up with your referral code. Every time they get points, you do, too, up to their first 1000. I just wrote a post about that, if you want to check it out. I see the Swagbucks graphic on your sidebar does not link to your referral code. :)

  4. Well, if that's the case I have already earned one and a half gift cards! Maybe you are right...maybe I should use the Amazon cards. I will try it out.
